Regular movement transforms your physical and mental health. It boost mood, sharpens the brain, help you sleep better, lowers blood pressure, improves cholesterol levels, and helps regulate blood sugar. Movement pumps oxygen and nutrients more efficiently through the cardiovascular system, reducing heart disease risk. It fights fatigue, supports bone and muscle, and improves balance and stability.
Here at Be Awesome we encourage our members to build habits that allow them to grow stronger and move easier. Strength training is an essential component to a long functional life. Movement is the natural partner to strength. Bad mobility patterns and bad habits often form a vicious cycle: everyday repetitive routines, prolonged sitting, and poor posture degrade your physical range of motion, which in turn solidifies unhealthier movement defaults. Breaking this cycle requires identifying the root causes and modifying your relationship to moving your body. We sometimes hold stress, anxiety, trauma, and discomfort in our body. Over time this leads to protective or restrictive movement patterns that can lead to pain, injury risk, and a limited range of motion.
Our Movement Lab offerings are designed to help you rediscover movement and build a larger pain free range of motion. It is part play, part form training. You will rediscover more natural breathing patterns and learn to manage pressure in your body. Find safe space to explore how movement feels and allow yourself to try new things and find joy in movement. Movement lab offerings make great active recovery options for athletes.
Movement Lab Private Sessions
Movement Therapy sessions A safe supportive environment to explore movement in space, release old patterns, and reprogram movement patterns. Through somatic movements and patterns we focus on how movement feels internally and how the body response to movement. The focus is on quality of the exploration that happens during movements rather then the external appearance of a movement.

Classes:
Mobility - a 40 minute mobility class for all abilities focused on increasing your pain free range of motion, stability, and balance. For all ages and abilities, modifications and beginner and intermediate versions of movements are offered.
Movement Flow - a 40 minute class that combines music, flowing movement, yoga postures, mobility, stability, and a bit of fun. Come explore finding joy in movement. All ages and abilities.
Bones, Strength, and Cognitive Health - a 45 minute class that combines plyometrics, stomping, hands eye drills, agility work, brain games, and strength work. Designed to help maintain and build bone density, increase stability and functional reaction times, and work on foundational strength for everyday movements. This class is for all levels of ability and all ages. Movements can easily be modified for those with osteopenia or who need lower impact options.
Core & Pelvic Floor class - a 50 minute class that includes on core strength, & pelvic floor health. Includes exercises for core and pelvic floor health, education about functional core and pelvic health, breathwork, understanding the pressure system of breath and movement, and fascial release work. For all ages, levels, and genders.
